How to know God and find Eternal Life
Our God, the Creator of the universe, is good and perfect.
Without fault or blemish, He created the world and humans to live in harmony with Himself.
We were created in innocence, but our own desire to be like God and direct our own lives has lead us astray from the One who made us. We chose to serve ourselves instead of trusting our Creator. With this great fall, sin entered the world. The meaning of sin is to miss the mark. To fall short.
Do you ever feel yourself doing something you know to be wrong?
God, in His love has written His law in our hearts as a moral compass- longing for us to change our ways and return to Him. The problem of sin, however, made it impossible to reconnect with the Creator as He is perfect.
The only way to become righteous enough to be in communion with God again was for a perfect sacrifice to atone for our sins; as our rebellion is an offense to God. As in a courtroom, someone must pay for the wrong doing.
Humans, being sinful creatures, can not accomplish this on their own..
…so God Himself intervened.
The Word of God became flesh and dwelt amongst us.
Jesus, the Son of God, chose to come into our world as a fragile baby, lived a sinless life, and became the only sufficient sacrifice to pay for our sins. He preached repentance- to turn away from sin and towards what is right. His teachings on love and forgiveness are contrary to our human nature and can only come from a being truly divine and truly good.
In His love for us, Jesus: the Lamb of God, laid down His life on the cross in order that YOU may reconnect with the Father and have eternal life. He paid the price of sin that we can never pay, so that we can avoid the punishment that we all deserve.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
This sacrifice was found acceptable by God, and He confirmed this by raising Christ from the dead three days later.
What was lost in the Garden of Eden
can once again be found.
By accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, we can enjoy communion with God here on earth again and for all of eternity in heaven.
Christ chose you on the cross. He suffered in your place.
All that God requires is that we believe in His Son and follow Him. It is not enough to simply know that Jesus rose from the dead and is Lord. He requires true faith and devotion, full surrender, and trusting Him in all areas of our life.
He wants a relationship with us, not our religion.
Romans 2:8 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; 9 not as a result of works, so that no one may boast
This gift of salvation from sin and communion with God, is freely given to all who seek Him. Jesus calls you to open your heart to receive Him. Pray to God to show you the truth and He will reveal Himself to you.
Jeremiah 29:13 You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.
Revelation 3:20 “Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends.
There is only one way to back to God. The way is Jesus Christ.
John 14:6 “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.
Now since we have all been given free will, we must make a choice.
God will never force us to return His love, as we know that is not true love.
Will you accept Christ’s sacrifice to cover your sins?
Will you open up your heart to the one who made you?
Will you follow the narrow path that leads to true, eternal life?
Choose the narrow road of Christ, choose to return to the only living God. Choose eternal life over death. The proof is there and the verdict is clear- Jesus is Lord. History proves the resurrection, and He continues to move and draw hearts back to Himself to this day.
Maybe He is calling you now.
If you’re ready to place your trust in Jesus, say this prayer today:
“Lord, I acknowledge that I am a sinner and that my sins separate myself from you, Holy God.
Jesus, I believe you died for my sins so that I may be forgiven and receive salvation.
I believe you were raised from the dead and that you are Lord. Thank you for your loving sacrifice.
I receive you as Lord and Savior. Please come into my heart and be the Lord of my life.
I repent and turn to you. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
Romans 10:9-10 says that “if you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.”
In a world full of chaos, Christ offers us hope and peace. His resurrection from the grave proves the eternal life that He promises to those who follow Him.
This is the purpose of life, to know Him who loves us and chose us first. That we may be spiritually reborn and made anew in Christ, grafted forever into God’s family. The Holy Spirit of God will indwell the believer and seals their salvation for eternity. The God of the universe longs to live in YOU! To know you personally and walk beside you throughout your life- comforting, guiding and instructing you. This is the will of the Father, possible only through accepting His Son Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
